I had a great dining experience here at a private event. I ordered the gazpacho soup, and rigatoni pasta. I wasn't a fan of the gazpacho soup (but I think I just don't like gazpacho) but I loved the pasta. Our dessert was a large cake, donut bites, and brownies served communally at the end. The private dining space was a great size and the servers were very attentive and experienced. There is a great outdoor space with big windows which let in a lot of light. There is also parking available in the back, a major plus. Overall, I would recommend Chef Geoff's for any upscale private event.

Chef Geoff's is approaching legendary restaurant status in DC--On the New Mexico Corridor between Georgetown and the American University west of Tenleytown on Nebraska Avenue. There is ample parking and Cheff Geoff's great and varied menu. I especially enjoy his Mediterranean dishes--Mediterranean salad with many additional protein items. The fish, and other dishes from vegetarian to pasta & meats/poultry make this an ideal place for all occasions. The ambiance is modern and appropriate for a date or a casual dinner with friends. The service is always friendly and helpful. I need to go more often even though I live in NYC as I am not only a New Yorker but also a Washingtonian.

Easter Sunday lunch. My fiancée told me I would love it, and so I went reluctantly. Boy, was I glad I did! It was stupendous. We sat outside, right next to a special gas heater. The place was packed, but the service was quick and reliable. I ordered the Greek salad and the fried calamari. Both were excellent. My fiancée, the clam chowder and roasted chicken. Again, wonderful. As friendly as we were greeted on our arrival, so was our departure. Can it be simpler than that? Chef Geoff's sets the standard.

I went to Chef Geoff's during the week for dinner with a friend. First, we could have spent the whole time at the bar because the happy hour menu is incredible! Super mugs for $10, great deals on food, and happy hour is every day from 3-7. Great deals, especially for in the city! The menu has a bit of everything, which honestly made us nervous. If you'd like ramen while your friend wants fish tacos, and you want to split a bowl of gumbo, this is the place! But the food was pretty good, and the different cuisines we ordered were all solidly made. Nothing was amazing or really exceptional, but it was all good. The staff were exceptionally kind and friendly, but the restaurant had maybe an older feel. We were definitely some of the youngest people there. We had a nice time overall, but I'm not sure that there was anything that would compel me to come back (except for the great happy hour deals).

We arrived at Chef Geoff's in the evening about 7:45 without a reservation. The outdoor dining was full and we were seated in the dining area across from the bar. I ordered a Cherry Zing which is black tea, cherry cayenne cordial, orgeat--I took one sip and I almost breathed out fire. I expected a little spice but it was like liquid habanero. We decided to try the truffled bacon popcorn which did not come until we were almost finished with our entrees. There's quite a varied and eclectic menu. I ordered the black bean and pecan burger with a gluten-free bun. My companions selected the blackened salmon, gumbo and a salad. My burger was ok but it didn't hold together and crumbled apart. The sweet potato fries were excellent, nicely crispy and sweet. The blackened salmon was nicely prepared and the accompanying spinach and pickled Pearl onions in a mustard glaze was very tasty. Our server offered to validate our parking which was strange because as we drove out of the garage there wasn't even a gate at which to pay, we simply drove straight out.
